Al and Pat Sumi took me on their trip to Kelowna on July 21-22, 2006. It was hotter than Hades. The B & B we stayed at had air conditioning, but charged "extra" for it. I noticed that the owner had AC in her part of the house.
The hot weather made sightseeing unpleasant but we did manage to view the area from Knox Mountain and tour two wineries. We waited for a goat cheese manufactory to open but were disappointed to find that they opened quite late in the AM. Mission Hill Winery was quite impressive but the wines I purchased from other area wineries were just as good.
The outside temperature on the road reached over 43°C on the way home. The car air conditioning was entirely welcome.
