Jacob was born in 1642 B.C. in Canaan, the son of Isaac of Ur and Rebekah of Ur.

He died in 1505 B.C.. The place is not known.

He had four marriages/partners. His first wife was Leah of Israel, who he married in 1568 B.C.. The place has not been found. Their seven known children were Levi (c1565BC-c1428BC), Judah (1565BC->1440BC), Reuben (?-?), Simeon (?-?), Issachar (?-?), Zebulun (?-?) and Dinah (?-?).

His second wife was Rachæl of Israel, who he married in 1568 B.C.. The place has not been found. Their two known children were Joseph (1804BC-1694BC) and Benjamin (1804BC-?).

His third wife was Bilhah of Israel. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were Dan (?-?) and Naphtali (?-?).

His fourth wife was Zilpah of Israel. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were Gad (?-?) and Asher (?-?).
