Marie Catherine and her husband were cousins. Marie Catherine Chene dit Labutte was the granddaughter of Marie-Catherine Trottier dit Beaubien along the line of the latter`s first husband Jean Cuillerier and Fontenay was the grandson of Marie-Catherine Trottier dit Beaubien along the line of her second husband François Marie Picoté de Belestre. Assumption Parish: Mar 3, 1787, burial of Marie Catherine Labute, about 26 years old, wife of blank Dequindre etc Dufaux, priest. There are a number of blanks in what appears to be a handwritten copy of an original record.
