He died on 05 AUG 1157 in Rijnsburg, Katwijk, Zuid-Holland, Nederland.
His wife was Sophie von Salm, who he married in BEF 1137. The place has not been found. Their seven known children were Dirk (1139-1151), Floris III (c1141-1190), Otto I (?-?), Baldwijn (?-1196), Dirk (?-1197), Robert (?-c1190) and Sophie (?-?).
