Personal and Family Information

Louis was born in 1279 in Clermont-en-Beauvaisis, the son of Robert de Clermont and Béatrice de Bourgogne.

He died on 29 JAN 1342. The place is not known.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Marie d'Avesnes, who he married in 1310 in Pontoise. Their eight known children were Pierre I (1311-1356), Jeanne (1312-1373), Marguerite (1313-1362), Marie (c1315-c1387), Philippe (1316->1327), Jacques (1318-?), Jacques I (1319-1361) and Béatrice (c1320-1383).

His second wife was Jeanne de Bourbon-Lancy. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their three known children were Jean (c1297-1375), Guy (c1299-1349) and Jeanette (?-?).
