Gerlach was born about 1220, the son of Heinrich I von Isenburg and Irmgard von Kleeburg. The place is not known.
He died in JAN 1289 in im Schwarzwald.
His wife was Imagina von Blieskastel, who he married in ABT 1250. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Johann (c1252-1312), Imagina (c1255-1318), Gerlach II (c1256-?), Heinrich (c1257-<1285) and Agnes (c1258->1317).
