André was born in 1607 in Breuilaufa (Lo Bruèlh au Fag), Bellac, Haute-Vienne, Limousin, France , the son of Pierre Robert and Léonne Raimbault.

He died on 04 SEP 1663 in La Rochelle, Charente-Maritime (prev. in Aunis), Poitou-Charentes, France .

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Catherine Bonin, who he married on 20 FEB 1629 in Chapelle Sainte-Marguerite, La Rochelle, Charente-Maritime (prev. in Aunis), Poitou-Charentes, France. Their four known children were Jeanne (1630-?), René (1633-1634), Sébastienne (1636-?) and Louis (1637-1711).

His second wife was Gillette Guillet, who he married on 22 JUN 1648 in Église Notre-Dame-de-Cougnes (Compnes, Coigne, Cognes, Cognehors), De La Rochelle, Aunis . They had no known children.

Note 1

At the time of his death in 1663, André, about 56 years old, was by then a "cabaret" operator and/or owner (a "pub" today, a "cabaret" in French, which was a combination of restaurant, bar and inn) at Carrefour des Forges, one of the important cross-streets in the heart La Rochelle, still there today, corner of rue du Minage and Albert 1er.
