Étienne was born before 1486 in Randonnai (Randonnay), Tourouvre, Mortagne-au-Perche, Orne, Basse-Normandie, France , the son of Gervais du Tremblay de la Poterie but his mother is unknown.
He died before 1515 in France.
His wife is not known, but they were married in AFT 1500. The place has not been found. Their only known child was Charlotte (>1500->1554).

Etienne Tremblay did not appear among the heirs of Gervais Tremblay in the blacksmith shop of Gallion which was run by Andre Tremblay and "his brothers". But he is mentioned in 1549 when Helene sold the shop.
He left many children, on which one was named Charlotte, heiress in part of her father.
