Pierre was born about 1580 in Tourouvre, Mortagne-au-Perche, Orne, Basse-Normandie, France , the son of Barnabé Gagnon and Françoise Creste.

He died in 1632 in La Ventrouze, Tourouvre, Mortagne-au-Perche, Orne, Basse-Normandie, France .

His wife was Madeleine-Rénée Roger, who he married in ABT 1597. The place has not been found. Their eight known children were Marie-Madeleine (1598-1677), Marguerite (1598-1677), Noël (1601-?), Louys (1604-?), Mathurin (1606-1677), Jean (1610-1670), Pierre-Jean (1612-1699) and Mathurine (c1608-?).
