Marie was born on 03 APR 1719 in Mackinac (Michilimackinac) , the daughter of Jean-Baptiste Chevalier and Marie-Françoise Alavoine.

She died before 1775. The place is not known.

She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was Joseph Hinse, who she married on 30 AUG 1741 in Mission Saint-Ignace, Saint-Ignace, Mackinac Co. MI . They had no known children.

Her second husband was Louis Antoine Césaire Dagneau dit Fontenay. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Janis (1749-?).
