Joseph was born on 19 MAR 1652 in Québec (ville) QC , the son of Jean-Robert Caron and Marie Crevet.

He died in MAY 1711 in Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours (now in l'Islet-sur-Mer, Chaudière-Appallaches) QC .

His wife was Élisabeth Bernier dit Jeandeparis, who he married on 23 NOV 1683 in Cap-Saint-Ignace, cté Montmagny, Chaudière-Appalaches QC . Their four known children were Joseph (1689-1762), Catherine (1695-1744), Louis (1699-?) and Élisabeth (1706-1782).
