Marguerite was the daughter of René (Prisque) Bouchard dit Lavallée and Marie-Anne Savageot-Sauvageau. The date and place of her birth have not been found.
Her husband was Jean-Baptiste Gariépy, who she married on 5 FEB 1725 in Lachenaie (Lachenaye, now in Terrebonne), Les Moulins, Lanaudière QC . Their only known child was Marie-Marguerite (1725-?).
