Personal and Family Information

Seleucus was born about 0358 B.C. in Orestis, Makedon, the son of Antiochus of Orestis and Laodice.

He died in SEP 0281 B.C. in Lysimachia (Λυσιμάχια, Λυσιμάχεια), Thrace, Greece .

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Apama I of Bactria, who he married in 0324 B.C. in Susa (Shushan, Shush), now in Iran . Their five known children were Achæus I (0320BC-c0275BC), Antiochus I Soter (0323BC-0261BC), Berenice (?-?), Apama (?-?) and Laodicé (?-?).

His second wife was Stratonice I of Syria, who he married in 0300 B.C.. The place has not been found. They had no known children.
