Personal and Family Information

Sanche was born in 1154 in Coimbra, (Portugal) , the son of Alfonso I de Portugal and Mathilde de Savoie.

He died in 1212 in Coimbra, (Portugal) .

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Dolça de Aragón, who he married in 1174. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Ferrand (1188-1233), saint Thérèse (1176-1250), Alphonso II Sanchez (1185-1223), beata Mafalda (1197-1257) and Bérengère (1194-1221).

His second wife was María Páez de Ribeira. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Teresa Sánchez (?-1230).
