Isaakios was born in SEP 1156, the son of Andronikos Dukas Angelos and Euphrosyne Kastamonitissa. The place is not known.

He died on 28 JAN 1204 in Byzantium (Βυζάντιον, Constantinople, Istanbul), Istanbul prov., Marmara, Turkey .

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Eirene Palaiologina. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their three known children were Eirene (<1181-1208), Euphrosyne (?-?) and Alexios IV (c1182-1204).

His second wife was Margit Árpád, who he married in 1185. The place has not been found. Their two known children were Ioannes (c1193-1259) and Manuel (>1195-1212).
