In 1989, I took paid leave to move to Vancouver, packing my car with all of my orchids, cuttings of other of my plants, luggage of immediate importance, a litter box and, most importantly, Morgan LeFay. We left 555 Sherbourne in a cloud of dust having shipped the furnishings commercially the previous day. Morgan was definitely not a happy camper (literally). The cabin we occupied at Badlands National Park was thankfully air-conditioned. However, there was some sort of ultrasonic device under the cabin used to repel varmints. It 'set my teeth on edge' and made Morgan's time there miserable. We stayed two nights.

In 2003, having packed the above plants and litter box and Mary Celeste, we screamed away from Celebrity Place at Mach 10. We picked up Tom at our stay at Nadia's and headed West. The previous stop on our epic cross-country journey was La Crosse WI and the next stop will be Casper WY.
Once again, the stay at Badlands NP was two nights. The weather was miserably hot, so we mostly stayed in the air-conditioned cabin during the hottest hours. On the first day, there was a standing thunderhead to the southeast which was very clear and absolutely enormous.
I feel that the restaurant had deteriorated quite a bit in its menu, quality of food, and atmosphere. Maybe that just reflects the wants of the American public.
I strongly suspect that the white van in the (2003) map, still used in 2008, is mine.
