My Frank Street Apartment

When I left the Pas, I stayed at Barry's on Croydon Avenue briefly until I found the place on Frank Street with Steve Robinson. Barry had been a Pharmacist at Londry's Pharmacy in Kingston. He moved to Ottawa to work at Tamblyn's at the same time I went to The Pas.
Steve Robinson had been a co-resident at Elrond College in Kingston during the summer of 1973. He was working at the downtown Holiday Inn in Ottawa when we met by accident. We shared a place on Frank Street. Steve left for Winnipeg before I vacated.
I was unable to find teaching work in Ottawa so I moved to a house on Scarborough Road in Toronto. I later found that the Ottawa and Carleton Boards had a policy of "zero-experience hiring". This blatant discrimination is apparently legal here. I bumped into John Phair, who had attended Queen's when I was there, on the Sparks Street Mall. He had moved here before I arrived and had several successive residences in Ottawa.
