Richard was born about 1260 in Flintshire, Cymru, the son of sir Roger Puleston and Agnes le Clerc de Malpas.

He died after 1316. The place is not known.

His wife was Angharad de Warenne. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were Roger (?-?) and Isabel (?-?).
