Juan was born on 27 DEC 1350 in Perpignan, Pyrénées-Orientales, Languedoc-Roussillon, France , the son of Pedro IV de Aragón and Eléonore de Sicile.

He died in 1396. The place is not known.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Yolande de Bar, who he married on 2 FEB 1380 in Montpellier, Hérault, Languedoc-Roussillon, France . Their seven known children were Yolande (1381-1442), Jacques (1382-1388), Ferdinand (1389-1389), Antoine (1391-1392), Eléonore (1393-1393), Pierre (1394-1394) and Jeanne (1396-1396).
