Heinrich was born on 24 JUN 1244, the son of Henri II de Brabant and Sophie de Thüringe. The place is not known.

He died on 21 DEC 1308 in Marburg.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Adelheid von Braunschweig-Lüneburg, who he married on 10 SEP 1263. The place has not been found. Their six known children were Sophie (1264->1331), Heinrich (c1265-1298), Mechthild (1267-1332), Adelheid (1268-1317), Elisabeth (1269-1293) and Otto I (c1272-1328).

His second wife was Mechtildis van Kleef, who he married in ABT 1275. The place has not been found. Their seven known children were Elisabeth (1276-1306), Agnes (1277-1335), Johann (1278-1311), Ludwig II (1282/83-1357), Elisabeth (1284->1308), Katharina (c1274-1322) and Jutta (1289-1317).
