Notes

Note 1

St Peter's Parish Records, LDS film # 1310855: Feb 1, 1825 After the publication of two banns of marriage in front of the parish of the church of Assumption at Detroit (JWP Note: The record is hard to read but there appears to be some reference to the 3rd bann having been dispensed with.) between André Peltier s/o Gabriel & Catherine Dequindre and Catherine Faubert d/o Jean Baptiste & Suzanne Peltier.  There is reference to a dispensation given by Monseigner ?? of Québec because of the 3rd? degree blood relationship of the bride and groom. Present on the side of the groom were Charles Beauchamp and the groom's father and on the side of the bride, her brother etc. Signed: André Peltier & Crevier, Priest.  JWP Note:  André married his first cousin, Catherine Faubert.  André's father Gabriel and Catherine's mother Suzanne were brother and sister, the children of André & Marie-Catherine Meloche.
