Theodora was born in 1240, the daughter of Ioannes Batatzes and Eudokia Komnaina Angelina. The place is not known.
She died in 1303 in Constantinople (Κωνσταντινούπολις) .
Her husband was Michaél VIII Dukas Komnenos Palaiologos, who she married in 1253. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Andronikos I (1259-1332), Eirene (?-?) and Konstantinos Dukas (c1261-1306).
