Philipotte was born before 1342 in Luxembourg (Grand Duchy) , the daughter of Jean I de Luxembourg-Ligny and Alix de Dampierre-Flandre.

She died in 1359. The place is not known.

Her husband was Raoul de Raineval, who she married in 1350. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Waleran (<1360-1415), Raoulquin (?->1398), Jean (?-?), Jeanne (?-1389) and Ade (?->1391).
