Borbála was the daughter of György Kapy de Kapivár and Ágnes Bánffy de Losoncz. The date and place of her birth have not been found.
Her husband was István Thoroczkay de Toroczkószentgyörgy, who she married in 1674. The place has not been found. Their only known child was Mária (1688-1737).
