Alijt was the daughter of Herman van Hœnlo but her mother is unknown. The date and place of her birth have not been found.
Her husband was Gerrit van Buckhorst, who she married in 1419. The place has not been found. Their two known children were Willem III (c1465-1501) and Herman (?-<1492).
