Richard was born about 1460 in Bryan Castle, Brampton, Herefordshire, England, the son of John Thomas Harley and Joan Hackluyt.
He died about 1530. The place is not known.
His wife was Catherine Vaughan. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their four known children were John (c1491-1542), William (c1493-?), Thomas (c1495-?) and Catharine (c1497-?).
