John was born about 1450 in Wulfhall (Wolf Hall), Savernake, Wiltshire, England (demolished 1569) , the son of sir John Seymour and Elizabeth Coker.

He died on 26 OCT 1491. The place is not known.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Elizabeth Darrell. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their eight known children were Margaret (c1468-?), Jane (c1469-?), Elizabeth (c1471-c1541), Catherine (c1472-?), sir John (c1474-1536), sir George (c1475-?), Robert (c1477-?) and sir William (c1478-c1503).

His second wife was NN Hardon, who he married in ABT 1480. The place has not been found. Their only known child was Roger (c1480-<1509).
