Alena was the daughter of Jan Kaplíř ze Sulevic but her mother is unknown. The date and place of her birth have not been found.
Her husband was Jan Malovec z Chýnova, who she married in ABT 1460. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Oldřich (?-c1527), Zdeněk (?-1512), Mikuláš (?-1493) and Jan (?-c1506).
