Brites was born about 1347, the daughter of Pedro I de Portugal and Inês de Castro. The place is not known.
She died in 1381 in Ledesma.
Her husband was Sancho Alfónsez de Castilla, who she married in 1474. The place has not been found. Their two known children were Leonor III Urraca Sánchez (1373/74-1435) and Fernando Sánchez (1373-1385).
