Constance was born about 1374 in Badlesmere castle, Conisbrough, Kent, England, the daughter of Edmund Plantagenêt and Isabel de Castilla.

She died on 28 NOV 1416 in Reading.

She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was Thomas le Despenser, who she married on BEF 7 NOV 1379. The place has not been found. Their five known children were Elizabeth (?-c1398), Richard (1396-1414), Isabel (1400-1439), Edward (<1400-?) and Hugh (c1400-1401).

Her second partner was Edmund de Holland, but they were never married. Their only known child was Alianor (1405-?).
