Hugh was born about 1286, the son of Hugh le Despenser and Isabelle de Beauchamp. The place is not known.

He died on 26 NOV 1326 in Hereford, Herefordshire, England.

He had two marriages/partners. His first partner was sir Hugh le Despenser, but they were never married. They had no known children.

His second wife was Eleanor de Clare, who he married in 1306. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Isabel (c1313->1356), Elizabeth (c1327-1389) and sir Edward (c1310-1342).
