Margaret was born about 1417 in Drumlanrig castle, Durisdeer, Dumfriesshire, Scotland, the daughter of William Douglas and Jean Maxwell.
She died about 1460. The place is not known.
Her husband was sir Robert Innes. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their four known children were Margaret (c1444-c1522), James (c1437-c1491), Walter (c1442-<1399) and Robert (c1444-?).
