Đurađ was born about 1375, the son of Vuk Branković but his mother is unknown. The place is not known.

He died on 26 DEC 1456 in Semendria, Serbia.

He had two marriages/partners. His first wife is not known. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Jelena (?-?).

His second wife was Eirene Kantakouzene, who he married on 26 DEC 1414 in Serbia. Their six known children were Todor (?-?), Grgur (c1424/25-c1459), saint Stefan (c1425-1476), Lazar III (c1421-1458), Mara (<1410-1487) and Katarina (1418/19-c1490).
