Siegfried was born about 1230, the son of Heinrich I von Anhalt and Irmgard von Thüringen. The place is not known.

He died after 25 MAR 1298 in Köthen.

His wife was Katarina Birgersdotter av Sverige, who he married on BEF 17 OCT 1259. The place has not been found.
