Bartholomeus was born about 1410, the son of Adriaan van Raaphorst and Agnes van Nievelt. The place is not known.
His wife was Mechteld Pot. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were Machteld (c1440-1479) and Catharina (c1450-1513).
