János was born about 1310, the son of László Várdai de Kisvárda and Margit Pelejtei. The place is not known.
He died in 1357 in Kisvárda, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg, Hungary.
His wife is not known. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were Miklós (1333-1373) and Domokos (c1337-1390/91).
