Christian was born about 1325 in Mar, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, the daughter of sir John de Menteith and Helen of Mar.

She died about 1387 in Synton, Selkirkshire, Scotland.

She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was sir Edward de Keith. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Janet (c1342-c1413).

Her second husband was sir Robert Erskine, who she married in 1352. The place has not been found. Their only known child was Christian (1358-1387).
