Katherine was born about 1360 in Devonshire, England, the daughter of sir Giles d'Aubigny and Alianore de Willington.

She died in 1418 in Modbury, Devonshire, England.

Her husband was sir Richard III Champernowne. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their four known children were Hugh (c1390-?), sir Richard (c1392-1420), John (c1394-1435) and Margaret (1396-1434).
