Margaret was born about 1335 in Touchfraser, Stirlingshire, Scotland, the daughter of John Fraser but her mother is unknown.

She died after 1410 in castle Dunnottar, Stonehaven, Kinkardineshire, Scotland.

Her husband was sir William IX de Keith, who she married on 3 MAY 1351. The place has not been found. Their nine known children were Margaret (c1337-1397), sir Alexander (c1340-c1375), Christian (c1350-c1402), William (c1352-?), Janet (1353->1421), Elizabeth (c1356-?), Muriell (c1358-1449), sir Robert (c1363-<1430) and sir John (?-<1375).
