Robert was born about 1305 in Brocostell, Ewenni, Glamorganshire, Cymru, the son of Roger Rayne but his mother is unknown.
He died about 1330 in Cymru.
His wife was Gwladus verch Hopkin. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Alice verch Robert (1348-1365).
