He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Janet de Mortimer, who he married in ABT 1389. The place has not been found. Their four known children were Janet (1378-1441), Elizabeth (c1378-?), Andrew (c1390-c1469) and Thomas (c1392-?).

His second wife was Elizabeth Buchanan. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. They had no known children.
