Iven was born in 1495 in Rixdorf, the son of Joachim I Reventlow and Abel von Buchwald.
He died about 25 OCT 1569 in Rixdorf.
He had three marriages/partners. His first wife was Anna Henriksdatter Ahlefeldt, who he married in ABT 1518. The place has not been found. Their six known children were Sophia (1525->1602), Margrethe (1522-1593), Joachim (1519-?), Gabriel (1523-?), Anna (1530-?) and Dorothea (?-1527).
His second wife was Anna von Buchwald, who he married in ABT 1540. The place has not been found. Their two known children were Ditlev Ivensen (c1529-1604) and Benedicte (c1560-?).
His third wife was Margrethe Ottosdatter Rantzau, who he married in ABT 1550. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Abel (c1549-1622), Otto (c1550-1618) and Elsabe (>1550-?).
