Ferdinand was born about 1452, the son of Jean II de Neuchâtel and Margarida de Castro y Souza. The place is not known.
He died in 1522 in Amance.
He had three marriages/partners. His first wife was Magdalena von Vinstingen, who he married in 1468 in Mirecourt. Their two known children were Marguerite (c1469-1534) and Barbe (c1480-c1506).
His second wife was Claude de Vergy, who he married in 1497. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Antoinette (c1500-1544), Anne (?-1543) and Philiberte (c1500-1522/23).
His third wife was Étiennette de la Baume, who he married in 1514. The place has not been found. They had no known children.
