Irmgard was born in 1332, the daughter of Albrecht II (III) von Regenstein and Jutta von Anhalt-Zerbst. The place is not known.

She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was Heinrich VII von Gleichen-Heimburg, who she married on BEF 14 MAR 1405. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Ludwig I (c1410-1467), Ernst X (c1406->1457) and Heinrich VIII (?-1463).

Her second husband was Gerhard III von Beichlingen-Rothenburg. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. They had no known children.
