Joan was born about 1345 in Kinderton cum Hulme, Northwich, Cheshire, England, the daughter of sir Hugh de Venables and Katherine de Haughton.

She died after 18 AUG 1397. The place is not known.

She had three marriages/partners. Her first husband was sir Thomas de Lathom, who she married in ABT 1364. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Margaret (c1345-?), Isabel (c1364-1414) and sir John (c1354-?).

Her second husband was Roger Fazakerley, who she married in BEF 1382. The place has not been found. They had no known children.

Her third husband was sir Nicholas de Harington, who she married in BEF AUG 1393. The place has not been found. They had no known children.
