Henry was born about 1315 in Utkinton, Cheshire, England, the son of Richard Donne and Ellen de Swynnerton.

He died before 1359. The place is not known.

His wife was Maud de Thornton. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were Margaret (c1350->1418) and sir John (c1335-?).
