Thomas was born about 1354 in Lochorwart castle, Goregridge, Midlothian, Scotland, the son of William de la Haye and Janet Douglas.
He died after 1397. The place is not known.
His wife was Jean Giffard. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their two known children were Rachel (1362-?) and sir William (c1365-<1421).
