Elizabeth was born about 1426 in Hailes castle, Prestonkirk, East Lothian, Scotland, the daughter of sir Adam Hepburn and Janet de Borthwick.
She died about 1448 in Eglinton, Kilwinning, Ayrshire, Scotland.
Her husband was Alexander Montgomery. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their four known children were Margaret (c1442->1478), Alexander (c1445-1468), Robert (c1448-1468) and Hugh (1453-?).
